Business challenge

Crashr’s core USP is it’s multi-asset flexibility: users could trade across any asset type such as NFTs, tokens, and collections, receive any of the three asset types. But that strength was confined to a single chain. The goal was to evolve Crashr from a Cardano-specific niche into a broader multi-chain, multi-asset trading platform.

This meant:

Rebuilding wallet infrastructure and trade flows
Handling asset metadata dynamically
Scaling UI logic across varying chain rules and asset behaviours
Maintaining user trust and transparency throughout

User challenge

Crashr enabled users to trade NFTs, tokens, and collections, but only on Cardano. The trading interface was rigid and non-intuitive

Users couldn’t:

Switch between blockchains

See transaction metadata like royalties or fees

Bulk manage assets efficiently

Understand what asset type they were adding

My philosophy

Designing for crypto is designing in ambiguity. The rules shift, and expectations vary.

My work on Crashr taught me that clarity, control, and flexibility are not just nice-to-haves, they are essential to helping people navigate complexity.

Every hover state, every asset tag, every royalty toggle was an opportunity to reduce hesitation and increase action

Royalty Customization

Different NFTs require different royalty settings, and batch editing wasn’t possible.

Visual clarity for Bulk asset listing

When faced with more than 6 assets, the interface collapsed under its own weight, and ended up creating a confusion for the users.

Missing Context for Decision-Making

Users had limited visibility into fee breakdowns, live trade values, or platform-specific costs.

Multi-chain navigation/switching

The original platform was Cardano-only. There was no concept of switching chains, yet new users would need to connect wallets for other chains Ethereum, Solana, etc.

Wallet onboarding

Users needed to connect wallets specific to each chain, and not all wallets were available or installed.
